Amino acids of AMINON WSP®, effective biofertilizer for strawberry

Amino acids are one of the most important composition in nutrition processes, also in different plant stages. Especially, amino acids applied in agriculture allow plants to grow and give them vigor in critical periods, such as when it is time to transplant them or when they are in the process of flowering and fruit set. The amino acids of AMINON WSP® increase effectiveness of bio fertilizers for strawberries.

But how do the amino acids of this bio fertilizer work? This powdered product contains organic nitrogen from amino acids, which provides excellent nutritional and biostimulant properties. In this way:

  • Restores the natural balance of the plant, stimulates vegetative growth and chlorophyll function.
  • Protects it from adverse conditions to achieve maximum productive potential and improves growth, flowering and fruiting.
  • It achieves an increase in the development of the fruit and an advancement of ripening.
  • It enhances the effects of phytobiotics and foliar nutrients, which increases the effectiveness of treatments and activates the defense mechanisms against pests, diseases and adverse weather conditions.
  • It promotes the development of the roots, as well as the organoleptic characteristics such as size and conservation of the fruits.

With the test shown below, it is found that AMINON WSP® improves the growth of the strawberry crop. Precisely the most demanding strawberry cultivation has also been the subject of other studies such as the test of biostimulants effectiveness, OPTIMAR®. On the case of AMINON WSP®, the key is the use of 80% free amino acids, which are not linked to any other type of amino acid. They have a lower molecular weight therefore they are easier to assimilate by the crops of plants or trees.

The experiment: AMINON WSP® for strawberry cultivation

Between August and November 2019, we have applied AMINON WSP® on a strawberry plot (Sweet Charly variety) located in the municipality of Valle de Santiago (Mexico). The trial, carried out by the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla under the direction of the professor-researcher Dr. Hermilo Sánchez. The experiment consists of the evaluation of four treatments (with three different doses of AMINON WSP® and without it, blank) and four replications. Especially, the foliar application of AMINON WSP® in doses of 50 grams per 100L of water, 65 grams per 100L of water and 80 grams per 100L of water was compared with the non-application of the bio fertilizer. Three foliar applications were made during the vegetative stage at 25-day intervals between applications.

In this trial, are analyzed the growth of the height of the plant (at 10, 20 and 30 days after application), the days were necessary for flowering and fruiting, the number of flowers and fruits per plant were analyzed -as we will see in the later graphs-, the yield of kilos per hectare, the Foliar Area Index (FAI) and the chlorophyll content. Also, the effectiveness on the growth of the plant and the number and quality of fruits, without any presence of phytotoxicity, was again demonstrated with this zero residue agricultural product.

CONCLUSIONS

Plants treated with AMINON WSP® in doses of 50, 65 and 80 g per 100 L of water achieved the highest height during the vegetative growth phase, compared to plants not treated with the MAFA biofertilizer.
The three doses of AMINON WSP® recorded the best data in terms of days to flowering and fruiting, number of flowers and fruits, leaf area index, chlorophyll determination and crop yield, with more than statistically significant differences in plants without AMINON WSP® treatment.
Without any toxicity, the biofertilizer AMINON WSP® -in any of the three proposed doses- demonstrated its increased effectiveness on the yield in ton / hectare of the strawberry crop, as well as improvement on the quality of the fruit.
