More productive, larger caliber leeks and higher weight with the EKLOBAC prebiotic

We have already told you on some occasions about Eklobac, one of our first additions to the new line of prebiotics. Eklobac is a natural activator of vegetative and root growth composed of biomolecules such as auxins and cytokinins.

With its application in a Duraton variety leek crop (organic), this time we have proposed:

  • Increase production and caliber.
  • Increase crop quality.
  • Reduce fertilizer use.
  • And improve the soil microbiota.

The experiment in detail

In this test we wanted to verify its effects in a 500 m2 field of leeks (allium ampeloprasum var porrum) located in Montequinto (Seville). The test was carried out between September and November 2023 and compared the effectiveness of the product between two areas, one with the application of Eklobac and the other without it.

Two root applications of 2 L/ha were made to the leek lines treated with MAFA (on September 8 and September 29) and the development of the crop was evaluated on several occasions.

WE CONFIRM THE FOLLOWING RESULTS

More firmness and better color

Firmer and straighter leeks, with a more accentuated and intense coloration in the growing area treated with EKLOBAC from MAFA.

Significant increase in caliber

Wider leaves and a big difference in terms of calibers and basal area.

More white area

Increase in the length of the shaft and increase in the length of the white area.

CONCLUSIONS

The application of EKLOBAC increased the yield (kg/Ha) by more than (kg/Ha) compared to the control of 12.77% compared to the control
With EKLOBAC there is an increase of 12.76% in the farmer's economic benefit
4% increase in the caliber of leeks due to the production of isoprenoids (precursors of cytokinins), responsible for cell division
Plants weighing an average of 60 grams more
An increase in the white area of more than 0.2cm per leek
An increase in leek stem length of more than 25 cm
An increase in root development due to the auxins it produces exogenously and endogenously

EKLOBAC, ecological biosolution, improves soil microbiota and protects the environment
