The effectiveness of Indumax against the Verticillium fungus in eggplant crops

Eggplant cultivation is very sensitive to the Verticillium, a fungus that penetrates through the roots and affects the transit of the sap, causing wilting and desiccation. With special incidence in solanaceae such as eggplant, tomato or bell pepper, it weakens plants to the point of considerably reducing crop yields or, in the worst cases, causing their loss.

Although difficult to treat, at MAFA we show in this trial the high effectiveness of one of our bioestimulantes, Indumax, for its control.

WHY USE INDUMAX?

Because it induces the eggplant plant to generate new and healthy shoots.

Formulated from microelements in the form of stable molecular complexes, Indumax induces plant self-defense with the generation of proteins that have a great influence on photosynthesis, respiration and lignification.THE TEST, IN DETAIL

This test MAFA was carried out in February 2024 at the DOBLE R farm in Michoacán (Mexico).

To test the effectiveness of Indumax against Verticillium fungus, conventional management on an affected plot ( witness) was compared with MAFA treatment on another also damaged plot. Specifically, two applications of Indumax (5 ml/liter of water) were made at an interval of 15 days.

THE RESULTS, IN GRAPHS

Plant 1; Plant 2; Plant 3; Plant 4; Plant 5; Plant 6″

Number of new outbreaks

An 11.4% more new shoots were observed on MAFA-treated plants compared to the control plot.

Number of fruits

A 33.3% more fruits were observed in the plants treated with MAFA compared to those managed with conventional procedures in the other plot.
