MAFAβs new biosolution is now CE certified, confirming its proven benefits for broad-acre crops, perennial woody species, and horticultural crops.
We are launching π π¬ππ’ππ₯π’πͺ, our innovative biostimulant with prebiotic effect, made from olive tree waste transformed through fungi. Our new biosolution is already CE certified, confirming its proven benefits for broad-acre crops, perennial woody species, and horticultural crops. This means that our product complies with the new European Regulation 2019/1009 and can be marketed in all 27 EU countries.
Proven Benefits
Why is this certification important? Because it confirms the benefits of Mycobrow, as demonstrated through the studies and trials validated by the regulatory authority.
We couldnβt be more excited about this new product. Born from pioneering research by MAFA in collaboration with the EstaciΓ³n Experimental del ZaidΓn-CSIC and the University of Granada, aimed at obtaining bioactive components through the transformation of agricultural waste by fungi. Moreover, this certification endorses our research into sustainable agricultural products, precisely because it applies the benefits that the microorganisms themselves (properly formulated) provide to plants.
π π¬ππ’ππ₯π’πͺ has demonstrated various benefits for crops
Among its achievements are:
- Its ability to increase plant development (root improvement) and above-ground biomass (g/plant), as well as production yield (kg/plant), the proportion of marketable fruit (kg/plant), and dry weight yield (kg/ha).
- Its contribution to improvements in quality aspects such as plant development, total biomass (g/plant), relative growth rate (g/day), total fruit production (kg/plant, kg/ha), and the production of marketable fruit (kg/plant).
MYCOBROW, which stands for Myco Biorremediated Olive Waste, was born four years ago thanks to pioneering research aimed at designing biological products from industrial waste. This research, led by Dr. Gloria Andrea Castro Silva, focused on the Obtaining of Bioactive Compounds through Bioremediation Processes of Industrial Olive Waste and Evaluation of their Biostimulant and Biopesticide Activity.
The key? The transformation of alperujoβa by-product of olive oil productionβinto a zero-residue agricultural product.Through the fermentation of this organic matter using the fungus Pycnoporus cinnabarinus, not only are pollutants reduced, but by decreasing polyphenols, we also obtain a beneficial and sustainable product for agriculture.ΒΏ
